It was the first of its kind organized by the Urban and Regional Planning Student Association of Nigeria URPSAN but was hosted by Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). The four day national conference had in attendance a number of schools from around the country including; FUTA, FUTO, OAU, UNIOSUN, Kano State University, ABU Zaria, LAUTECH, several Polytechnics and other schools nationwide. Activities like sports, debates, excursions and public lectures with professors and seasoned lecturers were part of the four day program which ended yesterday.

However, in the debate, Urban and Regional Planning Department, Osun State University chapter was represented by two candidates namely; Adelakun Kehinde and Atoyebi Taofeek and out of all the schools that participated in the debate, the two students helped the school to clinch second place behind FUTA the host school.

It means UniOsun came second nationwide and this is a huge achievement for the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and the school as a whole. Congratulations to the students who made the school and themselves proud.
